The Short Version

Boy meets girl.  Boy and girl have kickass time in the wee hours of the morning in various parts of the French Quarter.  Boy returns home to a state far far away.  Boy and girl try to keep things going, but it's harder than they thought.  Boy and girl acknowledge that it won't work.  Boy and girl stop talking.

Boy meets girl.  Boy is funny but talks over girl.  Boy cooks delicious tacos but boy is condescending and competitive and pretty much an asshole.  Girl struggles with whether to set him straight or just let him go quietly.  Girl tells him that she thinks they want different things.  Boy asks what she wants.  Girl can't think of anything that doesn't sound like an insult to boy, so she doesn't respond.  Boy and girl stop talking.

Boy meets girl.  Boy invites girl to a basketball game.  Girl enjoys basketball game.  Boy enjoys basketball game.  Boy and girl have nothing to talk about.  Girl thanks boy.  Days later, boy asks girl how her weekend was.  Girl does not respond.  Girl feels shitty about not responding.

Boy meets girl.  Boy and girl stay up until 3:30 in the morning dancing and talking and hanging out with boy's friends.  Boy seems to really like girl.  Girl thinks she might like boy.  Boy is tall and handsome and, most importantly, respectful and thoughtful.  Boy asks for girl's number.  Girl asks when they should get drinks.  Boy and girl eat french fries and drink beer and laugh about knowing none of the answers in trivia.  Boy says he had a good time.  Girl says the same.  Boy and girl text for a week.  Girl tells boy to let her know if he wants to get together this week.   Boy makes a joke and doesn't answer the question.  Girl is fed up with boys.
